Final Project
Expressive portraits
These photos show the differences in the personalities of different people. From creativity, happiness, passion, power, anger, all the way to friendship. The different subjects, and different aspects of a person most would not see, help photographers find unique personalities.
Emotional Photography
The first three photos show a woman who has been through abuse, which is a problem many people unfortunately go through on a daily basis. The photos show not to judge a person based on their looks, or attitude. The fourth photo shows a persons natural beauty, with their biggest insecurities standing out to show. The last photo is of a curious little girl looking into the lens of a camera. it makes you wonder what shes thinking, who she will become and what kind of person she will soon become. These photos help you take a double look at simple things you would ignore day by day. Sometimes taking a minute to stop, looking back, and watching; can help you see things you normally would miss in the blink of an eye.
Holiday Photos
Bokeh Effect
Portrait
This group of photos was portrait experimentation. I took separate photos of two girls trying to see what backdrops, angles, lighting, and outfits helped bring out the best of the features.
Nature
This group of "nature" photos was taken to show the beauty in everyday life. Flowers, sunsets, and sun rises are things people see everyday, but might not completely notice. These photos help bring out their true beauty. I also tried to get close up photos to make everyday things, seem bigger with more detail.
Surrealism
Surrealism is creating a dream-like state with photography/art. I used a girl as a model, and tried to create things you would not see on a day to day basis. Such was orbs, colorful smoke, and pixie dust. The photos are supposed to seem unnatural, rather than pretty and real.
The Red
The inspiration for these two photographs was the movie "Alice in Wonderland", and an artist named Christopher McKenney who specializes in surreal photography. I thought it would be an interesting technique to experiment with combining corresponding colors with teacups, masks and the everlasting woods scenery.
