Photography
Life is like a camera.
Focus on whats important,
Capture the good times,
Develop from the negatives,
And if things don't work out,
Take another shot.
Photography Names
For this surrealism project I used nature, to give it a spring feeling. I also used frames for this project to create depth, and give it an appealing aspect. This surrealism project helped me learn to spread my wings with photography.
For this project I used frames, and props. I used a violin to create a musical theme, and to tell a story. The frames also helped me create depth with my photos, and create aspects that are not usually seen with photography.
Photos, and Recreations.
Lighting Scavenger Hunt
2. I was supposed to draw the viewers attention using spot lighting. I created this bright photo by using the spot light in front of my subject, and by using Photoshop to bring out the detail. 3. Required me to enhance texture. I did this by using soft box lighting on the side of my subject, and by using distance to get the texture of the flowers. 5. I needed to create lighting and distance. I did this by using leading lines to draw the view into the light as the subjects slowly blurred as they got closer to the light. 6. Silhouette. I used a soft box in front of my subject to get it in the silhouette. 7. Contrast. I used a spot lighting n front of a basket of fruit to bring out the texture, color, and depth of the fruit. 8. Depth. I used soft box, and turned my subject to the side to get a good view. This lighting helped give my subject depth. It made the features stand out. 9. Shadow. I used spot lighting, and a white wall to capture the shadow of my subject. This helped create contrast, and make my shadow bold. 10. Sun. I used Ethel in the sun to create a soft effect, and to avoid any harsh features. It also helped me get good shadowing.
Shutter Speed Cheat Sheet
This is my shutter speed cheat sheet. I took 12 photos showing the difference between the shutter speeds. I showed what happened when your shutter speed gets faster vs. smaller. These photos also showed how your lighting is affected with your shutter speed. As your shutter speed gets slower, more light is let in allowing a bright photo. But as your shutter is getting faster, little light is being let it making your photo dark.
F- Stop Cheat Sheet
For this project I was required to take 18 photos showing the different depth of fields with your background, foreground and middle ground. As my depth of field got smaller, the subject became more of the focal point of the photo. And as I got distant from my subject, I go to see how the depth of field, foreground, middle, and background affected the photo and the subject.
5 Contrast Photos, 5 Subject Contrast Photos and 1 Composite Photo
For this project I was supposed to take five photos using color contrast, and five photos using subject contrast. By using bright colors, on dull colors I created contrast. And by using a young child, with an old man, I happened to create subject contrast.
Depth of Field and Leading Line subject
For this project I was required to take 10 leading line photos with a subject, or using different depths of fields. I used B&W on some of my photos to tell the photos story.
Angles Project
For this project I was supposed to take ten photos using two subjects with five different angles for each subject. I used my bearded dragon for the first 5, and a boy named "Josh" for the second half.
